Curborough Sprint track... (Cürburgring 2010)

Myself and a couple of my fellow students at Staffordshire uni are going to be holding an event at Curborough Sprint track on the 15th of April, I'm unsure on the amount of spaces on track available, but spectators are very welcome, it would be great to see some of you there.. We're in talks with a couple of local race teams also, so that may be something worth turning up for!

Just set up the Twitter Account : https://twitter.com/Curburgring2010

I'll update this thread if anyone shows interest!

Thanks guys n' gals!

I'm interested!

I live about a mile away from Curburough and have competed there many times in my Fiat Coupe 20VT. Its a short but fantastic (fiendishly difficult) circuit and a joy to drive.

I'll watch this thread..

Even if you don't, come down as it's free entry and it's always good to meet fellow alfisti! and there could hopefully be some interesting cars coming down! ..either way.. i'm looking forward to giving the 147 a shot at it

Prices have been announced today - We're only accepting 25 cars onto the track and will be charging £35.00 For the day.

As mentioned before Spectating will be Free of Charge - We do encourage donations of any amount as all the profit will be going to charity, quite possibly to help the Haiti disaster or Help for Heroes.

I'd love to see some of you guys there! updates here - Curburgring 2010 | Facebook

Green Berlina - do pencil it in! it'll be a good day out, we've had plenty of interest so far, from the public and race teams..

Thanks Gents.

Do you know if you will have electronic timing on the day and if it will be the full track or the top part only?

Thanks

We're just using the circuit of the sprint track , so yeah just the top part.. As for timing we've negotiated to use Curboroughs own timing equiptment, Personally i've not been informed of what this is, yet i presume it's going to be more advanced than some chap standing there with a stopwatch! (Some sort of break-beam system i expect!)

I know, we wanted to do it on a weekend but given the time allotment for the event all the weekends surrounding are busy!

Yes weekdays are good for me and the tracks own timing equipment is fab. It's is beam-break start and finish. See if you can persuade them to also put up the electronic score board. It would mean we didn't have to write long lists of names times etc.

Can't wait.

I'll have one of the guys look into that.. Because if we can't get an electronic score board i suppose it's going to be an old fashioned white board! Either way.. we're getting closer to the event, getting quite excited about it! Tickets will be going live shortly too, I know i've said this a few times.. but it's final stages with disclaimers etc..

Anyone can also RSVP on the Facebook Event page now too..
