Thanks for the info Todd,

Does anybody have any experience of GTS Motorsport of Solihull?
I've seen an advert in Auto Italia for them thats all.

I can highly recommend MotorMech in Birmingham, used them with my Fiat at the beginning of the year. A 20v cambelt change is a big job for most garages, took the car in at 9am, went home had a cup of tea and it was ready to be collected by 4pm. A bonus is that unlike other garages these guys are affordable.

I've used them for years. Really local to me and I wouldn't let anyone else touch my Fiat/Alfas. I mean that.

I need my front wishbones done. I've been looking at the price list and it seems really reasonable. In the 156 service section it states that the front wishbones can be replaced for 140. Do you guys think that means per wish bone or for both the front wishbones. I'll give them a ring tomorrow but I just wanted to know what you thought?

It is for the pair! I just rang them to check. Amazing. I am worried though that if I get it done there it will be like cheating on Simplyalfas!!! They have been so good to me

You really can't beat Motormech. They're a small, caring and honest company in my experience. Paul (the main mech and owner) is very patient and highly skilled and has a real interest in the cars themselves. He frequently attended Fiat Coupe meetings (when I was a member of that club) and always has time for a chat.

Now I'm back in Italian car ownership, my GTV will be going to absolutely no-one else.

They seem to be very busy boys and girls at Motormech.
Called this morning hoping someone could have a look at my suspension, they can't even have it in to look at until next Tuesday! A weeks time. Bleedin' thing will have rattled itself to bits by then.
Shame, they are on the way home for me as well.
Oh well, looks like another trip to Lye then.....

Limited space at their workshop is their only problem, but if you can wait the few days to be shoehorned in the service is second to non.
The problem for us "locals" is Paul's reputation has grown far and wide and people come from all over the country to get their Bella's serviced/repaired.

Another big up for Motormech , Just had the car serviced there on Saturday he sorted out a few other bits and bobs , feel very confident to take it back there for the MoT in November knowing it will be safe hands .
