Hi Daniel

I highly recommend them theyve done my cambelts and sorted various other problems ,Adrians a good chap , he's always got time to talk and if you have a problem you can usually run your motor up to him in the afternoon and they'll have a ganders for you. I do use Carlton motors in Wednesbury for little things because if he cant do it he sends it straight up to WAD , In fact it was Carlton Motors that put me on to WAD .

i would love to but i dont think my alfa is up to standard yet and would rather have it looking good before going, i used to be in the raf and was based there for a while,

As HM says , i wouldnt worry mine covered in lovely swirl marks and its been keyed twice .

As for the wheel refurb there is a company on the Tyburn Road in Erdington called Laptab or Labtab who do powder coatings , suposed to be very good .

I've heard good things about them too. Quentin Wilson even endorses them! (Remeber him from top gear of old?!)

Re: New 156 Owner In Walsall, How Good Is Wad In Wolverhampton

Hi and welcome aboard Daniel, if you want an alternative quote for your wheel refurbs from somewhere a little more local try A1 wheels on the Bilston road (just at the point where the tram track splits away and goes off on its own).
We've used them for years @ work and have never had a problem with finnish or quality. (I have no personal or finacial connection with them, just know they do a good job).
Nice car by the way, i'm gonna try to get to the next breakfast club as I couldn't get to the june one as I was in Belgium. Maybe see you there.

Alfas past and present.....

Re: New 156 Owner In Walsall, How Good Is Wad In Wolverhampton

Have got my 146 booked in on Weds for belts, tensioners etc + variator and some minor things purely on the great recommendations on this site. Not sure who I spoke to on the phone but he was very helpful indeed and the prices are good.I need a regular garage that I can trust as there is nothing around here that I know of.

Not so bad matey, Sorry I missed you and the other guys when at Stanford Hall, I just don't know where the day went
I've not posted much of late as i've been real busy at work and also getting ready for the trip to Spa Italia in Belgium last weekend. The trip went well and so did the Alfa (1095miles round trip), i'll start a little post of the weekends goings on when I get chance. (i'm writing this now while/inbetween eating mi curry takeaway). Busy busy busy, later doods
