2. if you dont like reading about football , don't read this thread!
3. if you dont like football full stop and are hating this thread , go post a "i hate football thread"

Re: World Cup Discussion Thread!

on the radio today the newsreaders were reporting from frankfurt said there was a war related atmosphere and were up to 40k england fans all singing the great escape and dambusters
also commented that the german police were taking a light approach to it all saying the songs are fine etc but any of the finger in the air and one under the nose then its jail.......fair enough me thinks

Re: World Cup Discussion Thread!

I am guted, I had to go to Munich airport at 6pm to collect some equipment for chinese TV, so couldn't go to the opening game :-(

Still I will go to Brazil V Aus, and a few more her in Munich.

Off to watch the England match in an Aussie bar, should be good.

The Germans went mad here last night, driving around the streets beeping their horns and waving flags, anyone would of thought they had won the WC. Oh and they played "we are the champions" at the end of the match where I was watching it !!

Re: World Cup Discussion Thread!

not a bad first half...good to be in the lead after 3 mins..but felt they havent really capitalised on the good start...still..second half should see another goal and a win in the bag

England deserved the win, no doubt, but should do better.

C'mon Portugal!

Well that's the first one out of the way, job done. Need a bit more inspiration for the next one though, got to kill games off when leading.

Yes I know - it was one I started and he said:-

"eeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnggggggggeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrlllll l llllaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnndddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

So when you posted a similar thing on this thread and said he started it - I agreed.

Blimey life does get complicated.

Nah - just drink a whole lot more and all of a sudden it will become clear. Then you will forget and argue that you haven't and will fight anyone who says different. Next you will wake up and wonder who replaced the glass in your windows with horizontal bars - and btw - why is the waiter bringing your breakfast wearing a police uniform - you didn't order a Copogram as you weren't that p155ed surely.

In any event we are doing the world a favour by clogging up a football thread (not a challenge Phil).

Paul.
