Thomas Cook

So is anyone else stood to loose a holiday if the proverbial hits the fan?? Ok so I won’t be as unfortunate as those who may loose their jobs but it’s still a stinker. Have a package booked to the Monaco GP next May with my son, not feeling too confident with the latest news coming out 🤔😞

The Germans run another British company into the ground and the government has to save them?

I’m not sure? I thought it was a British company with a large Chinese investor 🤔

I’ve been told Yes, we are covered as we purchased a full package. I believe, and don’t quote me on this, but if you’ve bought flights only with TC, ATOL will not cover you.

That's certainly true for transatlantic flights - it's clearly stated on the booking confirmation that it's not ATOL protected.

Our original plan for this year was to fly to Las Vegas with TC, but by the time we were ready to book they had no direct MAN-LAS flights left, so we decided that if we couldn't fly direct we'd fly Manchester - Denver via Atlanta with Virgin Atlantic & Delta. Lucky we did, or right now we'd be worried about our flight home on Wednesday!

It's touch and go...planes are in the air this morning :-)

Hopefully, the banks will reduce their demands for another £200m, and the Chinese restructuring deal will go ahead...
