Another word that’s annoying.

It used to be that films premiered.

Cars were launched.

New phones were announced.

Albums were released.

Now... everything has ‘dropped’

Eh?

Yep, new albums being 'dropped' is annoying. Thankfully I don't hear it so much if at all on 6 Music or Absolute Radio - I'm too old for Radio 1 now, but I probably do need to change my newspaper...

Services, work, training etc that used to be provided are now 'delivered'. That one really pi$$es me off.
Leave the delivering to the bloody postman.

Why the hell is everyone using the word 'addicting' now? What was wrong with 'addictive'?

What about this “across the ....” nonsense.
A show across the BBC? It’s not a physical thing!
Makes me cross.

In the last six months or so I've noticed the term 'smashed it' popping up everywhere. Unless you just dropped something made of glass then stop it, just stop it!

My children find it funny when I say something is “quite good”. Sometime it suffices.

I don't like it when people pass. They shouldn't do that: they should drop dead.

what exactly does "pre-order" mean. If it is available off the shelf then I buy it, if not and I have to wait for it to be produced and delivered to the retailer then I order it. So what is different with a pre-order?

The train :(

Use of the word journey to describe everything that isn't actually a physical journey

Me too.
Usually said by someone fresh out of university and acting as the mouthpiece for some organisation or other. As soon as they start doing it I can no longer listen to them.
Occasionally you'll hear some older person doing it, and that really does come across as pathetic.

That’s something I’m trying to get my grandson to stop saying.

I listened to a new female artist being interviewed on radio a few weeks ago, Freya Riding.

She was the most annoying person I’ve heard for quite a while. She started every sentence with “so” over used the word “like” and used “awesome, fabulous, really, oh god yeah” as if she was being paid For using these words.

Oh, and she sounded like a right Hooray Henrietta. Yuk.

The worst repeat I have ever heard is
"Know what I'm saying"
or
"Know what I mean"

Do you know what I mean

If it had been TV you may have found her more acceptable.

The warning was clearly there....

Anyone called "Freya" (i.e. one of the preeminent goddesses in Norse mythology... a member of the Vanir tribe of deities, and honorary member of the Aesir gods. Her husband, named Odr in late Old Norse literature, is presumed to be Odin so accordingly, "Freya" is ultimately identical with Odin’s wife Frigg (depending on the translator who transcribed from the Norse) ... has to have parents who are complete bell-ends... so is highly likely to be (in Anglo Saxon/Norse terminology) "a Tw4t".

So, she’s battled with dyslexia. Poor love.

It seems to make you very special to be Dyslexic. My mother in law was a teacher/tutor and never failed to “cure” dyslexia.

Meanwhile... I get "reached out" to quite often at work these days (a US-based company merger becomes more integrated).

Are you a member of "The Four Tops"?
"....no..."
Then ***** Off!
