Moving to Dubai

Hey folks

Looks like I will be moving over to Dubai in a couple of months time.

Is there an Alfa garage in Dubai? And has anyone bought a car from them?

Not sure what car I will buy when I finally move over. But you never know another Alfa could be on the cards

Cheers

Andy

welcome!

there is Gargash enterprise, official agent for Alfa here. You can get new Mito or Giulietta from them and maybe some 159.
if you want to buy 2nd hand, you can try look around in dubizzle.com

In here price of a car is quite low compared to most countries so you might be able to buy a car which you only dreamt about before

thanks

I havent got any chance to meet others.
How about organize to have PICNIC in Al Ain?
I have tried one time in Jebel Hafeet, it's allowed to bring TENT and sleep all night there.
then in the morning, face the sunrise in the highest mountain in Al Ain.

What do you think guys?
anobody who could stand as Organizer?

Not sure about the tent and camping. But I would go for a blast around the mountains for sure. How about Friday 15th? I can put an even in here and on our FB page and see who will join

Would love to join. Not in town on the 8th unfortunately. I've got bilstein coil overs on my Gta and they are highly recommended

did you do the polly suspension bushes as well or is it on rubber.

Im going to be trackdaying the car so I need the stiffest springs. Just been told the B14 wont hold slicks.

Lets meet when you are around then

I did it on my 2.5 v6 when I had it but you need to either use a very skilled person to put them into the lower wishbone or just have them done before shipping. Standard rubber bits on my GTA as I dont use the car much. B14 btw are quite stiff. you would feel the wing bending before the spring compressing if you tried to push it down with your hands. I think anything stiffer means your car can only be used for the track and not very practical for the road.

Working out here for two weeks. Bloody humid! You get used to seeing the Aventadors after the first few. Tried to upload a photo but my allowance is full, beautiful green one outside the Dubai Yacht club.

Have been in DXB many times from 1990 to 2000, but never since then...Was looking at the map of DXB to find Intercontinental Hotel and our office which was in the same block back those days, and it looks like a new city to me...Can't find my way around...Everything has changed....
