Cold air intake pipe size?

Can anybody confirm the size of the cold air intake pipe that goes into the air box? Is it 76mm like the pipe for the maf or is it completely different?
Looking at doing cold air mod but buying a pipe to allow me to fit the entrance higher up than the brera mods I have seen previously.
Have also been told that a dry filter is better than an oiled due to the oil fouling the maf sensor, anyone had any experience of that either way?

Cheers

If over-oiled it can but if you are careful it shouldn't ... mine has been fine and the maf is still very clean (Pipercross in TS)
