Time to buy clutch, my options ?

Hi All

Time to buy my clutch so before i do i want to know which ones will fit.

My Car = 156 with 166 3.0 Engine & 2.5 Gearbox

Does a 164 clutch fit etc

Reason for asking is i can get a stage 3 164 3.0 clutch for the same price as stage 1 2.5

So far im looking at these in order so if 164 fits i would get that

1. 164 3.0 stage 3
2. 166 3.0 stage 2
3. 156 2.5 stage 2
4. GTA/GT 3.2 stage 2 (Last Resort as its nearly same price as stage 3 2.5)
5. 156 GTA Dual Friction (not sure of the performance on these)

Any info will be great

Thx

All spares parts for 156 and 147 being sold that i will not be using (cheap) nothing too small ask what you want , willing to post world wide Phone 07922123242 Ask for Neil and say Mark said to phone .

Ive had a good search and as far as i can tell the 164 3.0 stage3 clutch will fit the 166 engine with a 156 2.5 gearbox

both clutch Dimensions for plate and disc is 240/235 & both have teeth/splines 20/20

So unless someone stops me i shall buy the 164 3.0 stage3 clutch which will save me Ģ150

Although i have read that the 164 was a pull type clutch but ill ask the shop 1st unless 1 of you lot know

Thx

Missed this thread - on the other thread the guys confirmed the 166 was DMF and its clutch plate would not work. 164 is All Busso V6 and most Fiat Diesel (4 cyl) clutches are pull type.

After more research... 164 is push clutch... a no go unless you convert
