05 156 1.9 jtd turbo upgrade

Hi

I was just looking for a bit of advice.

I bought my 156 a few months ago, it has been remapped to 180hp and it really shifts but I want more power.

I can see there is a lot of talk about upgrading the turbo for one from a 159 2.4JTDM 200hp,
having it mapped and getting around 240hp?

Does anyone know what this involves? is it a direct swop or does it take some modification to get it to fit?
What other mods would I need to make it work / get this power?

Thanks in advance!!!

I'm sure it's the 210 bhp turbo that is wanted, which is very different from the 200 bhp turbo

Cheapest is to make your turbo a hybrid, you can go easily for 1756 or 1856 and it's just plug and play.

Thanks for the advice! How do you go about turning it into a hybrid?
Which parts do I need?
Thanks

You don't do it by yourself, just locate a turbo repair shop and they will do it for you. Make sure they have balancing equipment for the turbo, basically they need to CNC the turbo shell, install new parts and then balance it at high speed.
