Powerrail 5

Hi

I just brought a used Powerrail 5 for Alfa JTDm.
The previous owner has a Mito 1,3 JTDm.

I have an 2,0 JTDm.

Maybe It sounds crazy but can I use the same Powerrail for my 2,0. Or should the Powerrail be reprogrammed?

The seller told me that I could use the powerrail for different types of JTDm engines.

Has anyone experience?

Thanks

/Jacob

resell it, get a proper remap

The powerrail will generate low AFR wich will generate a lot of smoke (you wont see it because of the DPF).
The the DPF will get clogged faster than normal, way faster... you most likely end up with a regeneration cycle every 500km, this will drop your range quite a lot and raise your fuel consumption (a LOT) one should realy stay away of this crap...

I had it in my 1.6 for 2 years with no problems at all.

You can use it but a piece of advice, it's better if you drive fast so that you keep the dpf clean, and change your oil quite regularly.

Garage
Should be fine, the engine connections are the same. I got a tuning box off someone on the forum (1.9jtdm), and was fine on my giulietta 2.0 (company car so don't want anything permament).
Had a 1-10 setting, so setting it at 5, and never had any issues.

Any spelling/ grammatical errors are purely there to annoy!

Now I have tested the Novitec Powertrail 5 box. It seems to work very vel.
No problem whit engine errors/messengers.
The effect are differently there. There is more power/NM I Normal mode. But I can really feel the difference in Sport Mode.
I will take a close look at the fuel comp.
