159 2.4 jtd ecu

Hi,

I'm a fairly new Alfa 159 owner but already looking for modding possibilities.
First thing I want to do is a DPF & EGR off. I had spent the last few days searching and I got so confused... I saw mixed information about the ECU modell. EDC16 is sure but I saw C39 and C9 variants. At this point I believe C39 is the JTDm version, but not quite sure..
And multiecuscan only has the c39 variant in the list, so that doesn't help either..

Also confused about accessing the ECU contents. I saw that most cables are using K-Line. Which is good because I have a cheap K-line (VAG I believe) cable and that works flawlessly in my volvo. But the volvo's motronic 4.4 is a dinosaur compared to the EDC ecus. I have a feeling that cable won't work with the Alfa.

Is there any info about DIY mapping for our cars?

Thanks,
Peter

All 159s use C39.

But you will need something better than K-line VAG cable to remap that car.
Also it is quite a complicated ECU.

Didn't expect it to be simple. It is going to be fun to understand this ECU..

on the hunt for a mpps cable...
