What can DIESEL power really do

Race truck rules state they must use standard discs and I think pads as well. They can water cool them mind.

Even if they "DID" have to run standard brakes, don't forget that it's not 40,000 kg anymore without a payload.

True. Just had a look again. Can't seem to find the original info. Seems they may just be standard size as Brembo seem to be a player. Seems road tyres are also a requirement for super trucks???
