help with torque. GQV no boost reading

I have been using torque on my GQV for a while but never worked for boost reading. When i go to racing mode boost is always zero. The obd2 dongle is a generic one and i have tried two with the same result. Vacuum works fine.

I decided to put the bluetooth dongle on my wife's Seat Altea which is a 2.0 turbo diesel and boost gauge worked.

Whats going on ? Do i need to purchase a high end dongle or am I missing something ?

Garage
it depends on whether the boost is actually passed on via the CAN / OBD ....
Not all parameters present in software like torque are always available in a certain car.....
