Wizard exhaust

A couple of weeks ago I had one of Dan's bespoke stainless steel cat back exhausts fitted down at Autolusso. What can I say....EPIC sound. The exhaust was also beautifully engineered and fitted perfectly. Big thanks to Dan and his colleagues.

It is still bedding in and I'm waiting for it to carbon up to improve the richness of its sound.

My advice for anyone thinking of a replacement cat back system would definitely be...contact Dan first

I'll post a pic of the twin tail pipes and a sound bite soon.

I'm planning on having a Wizard exhaust on my MiTo fairly soon, just waiting on getting the money together.

Good decision CalvinD,

Dan will sort it for you. You wont regret it.

It's loud but in a good way. I've had quite a few compliments on its sound already

Couldn't agree more biggreenzebra, beautifully polished twin tail pipes and TIG welded joints. A masterpiece

As I've scattered liberally around this alfa owner site already, I will soon be the proud owner of the very first Wizard backbox for the GQV.

Just in case anyone has missed it (unlikely) here it is. Will be fitted in a week or so.

This has 4" tails which I think are obligatory for the cut-outs.

Realaleman and biggreenzebra...do you have any other silencing or have you got rid of it all and just kept the Wizard back box silencing?

I have already got a non-standard centre section with a clamped in silencer. The Wizard is making me a straight pipe to replace it, so interested in what you have and just how loud it is.

Hi Deniston, Dan kindly gave me the option of straight through pipe or resonator. I tried the straight through pipe first. It was LOUD & EPIC but scared pigeons off roofs and men fell off ladders!!
I ended up with the resonator. It's still loud but in a more rounded way and after warm up does pop & crackle a bit which is rather nice. Tick over is a lovely 'grumble'. I'm hoping to put a sound bite up when I can get hold of something decent to record with. I hope that helps.

Thanks realaleman. Mine has "silent tails" which means each internally has a perforated tube with sound absorbent material around it. I am not sure if that is a resonator or not? Anyway it is obviously supposed to quieten things down a little (and I think they look good too), but I am not sure it makes much of a difference.

I guess there is only one way to find out! It's frustrating knowing that it is ready, but I can't get it fitted just yet.
