1.9 cam upgrade need to start deciding engines ready soon

right as some of you will know doing an engine build my race spec'd bottom end and head will be ready in 7-10 days.

work done is

forged bottom end with uprated rods and pistons, lightend full rotating mass fully balanced. piston valve indents lowerd for uprated higher lift cams

head - fully ported and redesigned flow done by me using common sense and my diesel engineering background, hope it works. engine builder seems to think so but im worried lol
uprated valve springs, valve seats recut higher in the head to allow for higher lift cams ( this is compounded in the piston valve indents also for safety )

SO.....

which cams ... dibilas have some all quite tame requiring no engine modifications

a few uk companies are willing to offer a regrind (which would be preferable as a bespoke one off cam set is

they are wanting to inspect them to see if they can do anything with them. by looking at them there is a bit to gain tbh but im no cam expert

obvs want as much as possible with out losing idle (which will be raised to 1100 anyway for smf )

power will be starting at 2.5 with a 6k red line

has anyone ever fitted a set of dibilas ? or had theirs reground ??

any and all advice is welcome

In the petrol motor scene reground cams work fine to get longer duration and overlap, the hydraulic cam followers take up the slack from grinding stuff away. But to add high lift you need to either modify the valves or go solid lifters or billet cams
