Brake Pads

OK later this year I am upgrading my brakes (for my Abarth) using Brembo Calipers c/w Brembo 305mm discs (the calipers are from a Mito QV)

The question now is what pads ?? A few considerations;

I not tracking it, but fast road

Less/low dust is desirable

No squealing !!!

I was heading to Brembo HP1000, but one Alfa mate here said he was very impressed with the Performance Friction pads on his GTA. I am bit cool on the DS2500 (same as the HP2000 ??)

Any opinions / other suggestions ??

Cheers

The DS3000 is basically a track only pad, the DS2500 is a track / street cross over and
One small step down from the DS2500 is the DS Performance - better bang for buck if you are fast roading and not tracking and it ticks the boxes you mention...

Enother good option is EBC yellow stuff - leave the green and reds:

I am using Ferodo Performance pads which seem to me to be almost identical to the DS2500 pads I had on my 156, the same very good stopping performance, the same low dust generation, but unfortunately almost as bad squealing. Though having said that about the squealing, for the last few hundred miles the squealing has almost disappeared, but the pads (and new disks) were fitted nearly 3 years and 24,000 miles ago!

For the next change I am looking at fitting Brembo Sport pads.

Thanx all,

Been talking with another Alfa driving mate who swears by the Bosch pads (blue box) as an excellent fast road pad. BUT I cannot seem to find a supplier (other that AP MotorStore - but they are outta stock and their shipping is $$$$)

Can anyone point me in the right direction ?? Dr Google has let me down in this instance

Cheers

i have brembo hp1000 and im not A fan, a little dusty not that consistent feeling and when you've been driving around normally and the come to a stop they often squeal...like at the lights or on your drive...... i have the brembo big break kit upgrade i think its the same pad shape as yours but the pads are little thinner(15mm) than standard 305mm disc brembo calipers. i looking for options myself would quite like the performance pad by ferodo not the 2500, im tempted by the performance friction pads and i think they are the same as the ones fitted to the focus rs (2002 i think) and you can buy them on ebay for about 75 which is a steal......
