Last year i took a trip over to MIJ performance and had a stainless steel exhaust system fitted to my Mito. It was a cat back system and eliminated the center box. and gave it a new much louder sound. I'm now doing a lot more traveling and this system is really starting to drone on long journeys now. Could anyone possibly offer a solution?
I have got the standard system, and yeas i have already put it back on before anyone suggests that
however i miss the rasp and the sound. I have been considering a few options.. the 1st was a center box to hopefully reduce the drone. The second was a valve....
Now this is where i need the help, i like the idea of an electronic valve as i can make it lovely and quiet on the motorway and then sporty when im having a Sunday drive. This is the system i have been looking at;
Here's a little vid;
Ok so i phoned up the local exhaust specialist and they said that they can fit the system however they didn't sound to keen on it, they said they can get hot and seize up which is understandable or it may effect the back pressure and loose performance
never good with a small engine
So my question is what are peoples thoughts on valves? Has anyone ever used them before? And is there a better system out there? I just don't want to spend another £100 and still be left with a noisy horrible system... I know its not a 4C which im sure everyone saw on top gear
that sounded gorgeous! However i would like my little Alfa to sound sporty and turn a few heads for the right reasons instead of sounding like a boy racers saxo.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
