ECU Reading/Writing and everything inbetween.

Hey all,

i just wanted to know what programs/utilities you lot use? id like to be able to read mine and turn off my EGR valve myself...

am i right in thinking all i need is a laptop and an OBD2 interface of sorts?

how would i go about finding what address the EGR is in the read file?

Depends on what car it is. If its older and the ecu communicates by k line then you can get away with a £20 galleto 1260 cable om ebay to do the reading and writing. Good luck with finding the egr map. You need a program like winols to re write the map. Its not as easy as you may think
