Idea DPF removal and remap

I am almost sure that I am going to get a DPF removal and remap but not sure where to get it done I have been Quoted from 399 at North East remaps and a whoping 720 from Alfatune. Can anyone give me some advice and facts and figures. I mainly use my 2.4 JTDM Spider on the motorway cruising at 80mph but am only returning 33 - 35 mpg I also suffer from turbo lag mainly in 3rd gear.

Just a few questions for you guys who have had it done
Will a DPF removal and remap make a massive difference?
Who did you choose?
How much did you pay?
What were the benefits (mpg, performance)?
Any downsides?

Any help would be great

Have a read through my thread for some info....

I'd get the Alfatune remap every time as it's not really the same thing...totally worth the extra money and you will(!) pass MOT soot testing.

I'll second the Alfatune Remap.

Gus really knows what he's doing.

AR 159 2.0 JTDm

I'll borrow this topic for a bit.

I have a 159 2.0 JTDm - and want to get a DPF removal. The DPF is located nearer to the engine and it is a bit trickier to remove. Has anyone done it before?

I have no clue what MOT looks like in the UK, but it should be pretty similar in Slovenia for EURO5 engines. Has anyone had their DPF removed and passed MOT? This is pretty much my main concern ...
