Resonator bung!

Hi guys, just in the middle of fitting a Fmic to my 147 Jtdm, got all the pipework sorted, it's coming back off to get bead rolled this week so looking to get it all back on next week.
Only thing I haven't done yet it chop the resonator off the airbox and just wondered if anyone knows off the top of their head the size of the pipe/bung that is needed to blank it off so I can get something to hand ready to finish it off.

Cheers

MGG made a replacement for his 2.0JTS I don't know how similar/different the 19.JTDm intake is to the 156 2.0JTS, but have a look - might help:

guess you went for the 2.25" universal kit. did it have every pipe required to fit it or did you have to purchase any others?

thanks kris

Yes was the universal kit, had more than enough pipe work, actually have a couple spare, only extra I had to get was a 90 degree reducer to step down onto the turbo, used a a 57-50mm reducer as was the nearest I could find, will post up the full list of whats needed when I get it all done.

Just in case anyone is looking for this one day, the pipe is 30mm, got a nice silicone end cap for about 2 quid from ASH which fits perfect.

The height isn't too bad, just fits between the crossbeam and the lower plastic cowl, most of the snugness is around the pipework on the off side where the lower grill is in the bumper.
Got a pic of the cooler in place, will post some up of the rest when I get them transferred off my phone.

Yes here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1107107295...84.m1439.l2649 and did also swap the clips that came with it for t-bolt ones and will need a reducer to go onto the turbo which was 57mm-50mm reducer elbow, but that kit had more than enough pipe work for the job.

Ahh I thought about this one http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=390461192717 the 90 degree bends it has for connection to the turbo, as you look at your picture the left hand side it would curl round nicely towards the turbo, what have you used for that part from that set?

From I/c to turbo went:
Short straight to two 90 silicone elbows to go around the radiator then to another straight alloy, then to a 90 alloy pipe to 90 reducer to turbo.
Other side to intake manifold went 75 alloy shortened right down to clear fog light(nearly) to another 75 alloy which ended just where original smic outlet was, from there I connected to my autolusso silicone original pipe but could use the rest of the alloy pipe and connectors to go right to the inlet manifold, which I might do but had been on it all weekend and the mrs needed the car for work the next day.

The cooler is fixed through the front crossmember, with 10mm studding, had to drill through for that, then on the bottom I made up some straps to stop it flapping about and bumping the aircon radiator as it sits very close to that (about a 10mm gap), these are bolted to the bottom of the cooler then secured to the bottom of the radiator support with some self tappers as they dont take any weight it's just to stop it moving.
The reducer I got from here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2908980144...84.m1439.l2649 was a really good fit onto the turbo.
