newbie to upgrading parts some advice needed please

Hi my 147 is a 2003 1.9jtd 8valve

I have read that a remap works well on the jtd is it really worth getting? And also mixed reviews on fitting a cone filter and if I do fit one make sure it's not oiled.... But how the hell do I fit it as it looks like there's a lot of stuff needs removing 1st?

Any other advice on little things that I can do under the bonnet? I'm not really wanting to put a backbox on... Just yet anyway ;-)

Well, if you've already read that.....

Remap works well, forget about the (cone) filter, buy a better downpipe....

and use the search function

Save youre pennies and take it to Gus at Alfatune.

Depending where you are in Staffordshire I could take you for a blast in my Alfatuned 2.4 159. But would have to be tomorrow as I'm in hospital on Friday so will be out of the loop for a couple of weeks.

I see the Alfatune remap is called "Alfatune F1 remap", does it involve KERS ??
