What type of Brake Kit is this?

Hello, Guys!

A friend os mine is offering me a big brake upgrade he bought form Zeatek - All are original parts and they do fit my ( as well as his) 156 2.0 TS. But there are no part numbers and the brake calipers (4-piston, with 305mm Brembo disks) do not look like these on sale on other sites, such as the Alfisti site....

My friend could not install these brakes in his car becouse the brakes would not clear his 16'' teledials.... He said to me that they should fit in 17'' GTA teledials...

I would some help on

1) What car is this brake kit from? - They do not look like the GTAs 305mm ones....
2) What brake pads can I buy for this brake kit? My friend has a supplementary pad kit, and the pads do read "Fiat Grande Punto" on the label - Is this brake it an option on the Punto Abarth??

Any help will be VERY appreciated!!

Some pictures...

Garage
Pictures are too small.
Regarding wiping the part numbers - it's common practice of third parties to assure their "originality". Otherwise one would find that its "XYZ" kit and buy it directly at manufacturer next time.

they could be, but you'd need the brackets aswell, and they could be different or not present

Looks to me like original Mito 1.4 TB 155bhp front brake calipers & brackets.

The discs are 305x28mm brake discs to suit early 156/147 GTA and GTV V6.

Alexandrus beat me to it

Thanks a lot for the responde, guys!! I did not know that the Mito had 4-piston calipers!!

I am assuming that

1) This kit fits the 156 without problems ( other than wheel clearance)

2) Pads for the MiTo will fit this brake kit

Am I right??

1) Yes it will fit all 156s except 3.2 engine versions as they use different hub carriers.

2) Yes indeed.

Thanks a lot for the answer, Pud237!!! Only one last question - the guy is only selling the calipers and brackets, so I have to buy disks - Do I buy normal 305 x 28 x 44.7 mm (diameter x thickness x height) 156 disks? Does disks 305mm disks for the Mito fit the 156?

GTA/GTV v6 305x28 discs (easy to get)

Pads are MiTo (obviously!) and Punto Abarth (as in your mates set).

Pads are the same as the ones for Renault Clio RS and Megane RS, the previous incarnations, the R26 for the Megane and RS197/198 for the Clio. So there are plenty of good pads and plenty of info about them on the Renault forums.
