Fit some new springs yourself? Would be sensible to replace/upgrade the shocks at the same time. Ask in the GT lounge for which are best suited to the car. Completely straightforward job for any garage if you don't want to diy so my choice would be whoever is cheapest/most convenient ...

Hi Mark,

I replaced my oem's with H&R springs which drop 35mm, cost me £165 from a company called Larkspeed, same place i bought the stage 3 clutch from. How low were you thinking of going.
Have you thought about coilovers!!!!!

What makes you want to tint the windows ?

DIY Laser cut window tints can be bought for around 30 quid on t'interweb/flea bay

100 for a pro to supply and fit (best option)

Got my windows done at Tints in washington £120 all in and I got all rears and a light tint on front sides, think they quoted around £90 for just rears, five year warranty and they where great, would recommend them.
And do the suspension yourself and save £400 or so labour, took me a weekend to do mine including all wishbones drop links mounts etc, would even lend a hand if needed (in the warmer weather though)

Thats the tints just after they where done.

im not doing the window tiniting myself. i want a profesional job for that one.

my bro got his zorst done by them and i wasnt that impressed to be honest. it was on his 206. He paid £400 for his to be done. i used to go to tints and tweeks a while ago but thought they were a bit pricey. ill give them a ring and see what they quote me.

I got my springs from APEX a good compromise in ride quality vs stiffness kept the stranded shocks also they were about 100 for the springs my mechanic charged 40 to fit them.

Apex Lowering Springs for Alfa Romeo - larkspeed.com

Had them done 6 months ago finally settled down to a not to a low stance but would like another 5mm at the back.

Thats cheap to change springs for £40.
Think I may have to have a chat to your mechanic. I hate doing suspension. Its always a pain with rusty bolts.

He used to work at motorvouge in northampton, now retired works part time at a silly low price but knows alot about alfa's. Cambelt change on my old 1.6 ts was about 160 if I remember correctly
