Stock air box or not?

Had mixed feedback about removing the tock air box from my 1.9jtd and replacing it with a cone filter. Anyony know what is the better option?

Stock.

I have one with a 210 hp setup @ 1.9 JTD.
The turbo has very little trouble with it, looking at the relatively low VNT % at high loads/revs. Definitely no bottleneck.

Thanks. So your saying take the snorkel off? How will it get cold air?

Keep the snorkel... there is absolutely nothing wrong with stock snorkel.

If any doubt put a cone filter and check it. Also a little cold air feed could help.

You should keep the snorkel. This is one of the features that makes the standard airbox a good design.

In my case I only modified the snorkel by removing the tapered section. But this is with a quite heavily modified setup.
