intercooler pipes popping off ?

hey guys having got the FMIC on today, i gave it a run, and all of a sudden the pipe blew off the intercooler..now im wondering, are the jubilee clips the culprit, sounds silly i know but they are cheap things i got with the kit, or is it something more major ?

thanks
chris.

The ones i got with my fmic are beefier and a different kind on clip. You need to rough the ends of the pipes too and do them up very tight. I'll try and find out wht clip they are although I got the kit from JS_JTD on here so he'll know what they are called.

A Wipe clean and a coat of hair spray also can also help pipes stay on under the t bolts if pipes arnt beaded.

Yes slips on wet but dries tacky' I've been running 26 psi+ no slippage with no beads on pipes, the t bolts clamps are worth every penny.
