Will GTV Brembos fit my 156 V6

Hi guys,

I have been offered a set of Brembo calipers that off of a GTV V6.

Can anyone confirm whether these will fit my 156 V6?

Only if you get hold of a pair of front uprights from a GTA or GT 3.2.

Many MANY threads on this...!!

There is a reason the GTA/GTV 305mm Brembo calipers go for low money.

Thanks David - didn't realise it was such a common question.

Hmmm, whilst sourcing some uprights is not out of the question, given how little the car is worth, this is starting to look like its going to be too expensive to justify.

How much are they asking for the calipers?

I have the normal 284mm single pot calipers with braided hoses, decent fluid (Endless S-Four), decent pads (EBC Yellow) in my 3.0L(transplanted) 156 V6 SW. And it performs well on the track. I did a 1:19.2 around Zwartkops race track here in SA in warm weather.

I recently acquired a stripped out 156 2.0 racer with 305mm 156 GTA brakes, properly decent fluid (Endless RF650) and race grade pads (Endless Blue ME 20). I have done a 1:20.4 in that car. Driving the car to the track is uncomfortable as the brakes tend to bite a bit hard or squeal if used lightly. (other pads will sort out the squeal)

So my 2p worth is unless you are going to do a conversion on the car to up the power over 300HP stick to the normal brakes, unless you are after the look - then it is a emotional decision and no-one can tell you right or wrong.
