Crazed Unicorse Replica

Right! As soon as my funds recover from my recent 'upgrades' I'm definitely going to go for a Unicorse cat back with equal length front pipes. This has got to be the definitive video in my opinion to get one!

This is also one of my favourites, its interesting to compare as this is a CF3 and the old 156 & GTV were CF2s, notice how the cats have changed the tone quite significantly.

Is your 2.5 V6 'wagon a CF2 or CF3 model?

Got mine last week and it's awesome! Big thanks to Dan.

Mines a 2.5 cf2. I look forward even more now to driving my 156.

Best bit so far, my nephew giving me the biggest hug after I'd taken him for a spin.

Gonna do some vids this weekend.

OH MY! Now I do love the growl from that GTA and the GTV too. Mine is a CF3 and if it could sound like the GTA and go like it too (Ok mabye I'm asking too much )

Am I right in saying the CF3 cat makes it sound 'deeper' throughout the rev range?

Also how easy is it too drop the 3.0 in place of the 2.5?

If you post that up here to at least give me some hope at the end of my money strewn tunnel of Alfa despair to get one! Mabye even a quad too!

Well I'm getting a 164 Super 24V next month. So I will try to get a back box from Pud. All I need is the box sans piping. Originally I was going to get one for my race car, but decided to run it with another system.

Is this system ever tryed on a 3.0 12v engine?
If so, you got some sound fragments?

Not as yet Joris, but I think it would sound fantastic. A lot of people already say the 12v sounds sweeter than the 24v.. Maybe you'd like to be the first with your Spider?

Your right foot pretty much determines the level. I can drive mine sensibly and you can hardly hear it but open up the taps and it's magic!

It isn't intrusive at all for everyday driving, even on the motorway.

2nd gear going through a tunnel is spine tingling! Lovely pops and crackles just add the drama.

Haha @Pud, you be the one selling this fine piece of exhaust?

To be the first is always tricky... you can make me a special price?
you can pm me more info if you like.

Thanks!

That sounds excellent

Remind me, is your 2.5 a CF2 or CF3?

Thanks Dan, but it was yourself that got me sorted with it! It's a CF3. I'll maybe get a better video made with a longer run with some heal and toe (no I've got the knack for it).

It was a good video, a bit timid tho!

I like the full throttle starts filmed from about 20 paces away, a bit like this one (watch your speaker volume!):

Yeah I still really miss that car, its been broken up now, the rot got to it

That was a bit of a unique set up as I had CF2 manifolds, equal length front pipes, a large silencer instead of a cat, a straight through silencer and then the backbox. So far no-one has had the same

I'm going for something similar but replace your large silencer instead of the cat for a sports cat and small silencer
