Thumbs Up Brera 2.4 remap - OMFG!!

Well...

I took the plunge on the remap and DPF removal from JJB Motors, York and all I can say is OMFG!!

Sheesh - the difference is incredible! I tried a couple of standing starts and gave the old girl a bit of welly and I'm staggered by how she goes now. First gear is a bit of a waste of time as it's just too grabby and over far too quickly, but once into second and beyond it's fabulous!

I returned 35.4 mpg on the way up and on the way back I got 46.6, and that was with a couple of short blasts on the throttle as well.

Highly expensive (£720), but highly recommended.

Good stuff Nipperooney. You get what you pay for and know you know what it is like to have the best.

As SR says, go easy on the clutch as you've got serious power now. With great power comes great responsibility!

I would suggest to avoid full on standing starts and foot down in high gears at low speeds.
If you keep that in mind you'll be fine. My car has done 30k miles without any problems and I know there are plenty more that have done much, much more mileage.

I agree totally. These derv remaps sound fantastic but the clutch just can't cope with all the extra torque.

Thanks for the advice...

I am going to use it sparingly, as I don't want to cause any of the problems listed.

It's just nice to know it's there when I want it...

And as for the MPG, it's showing at 39.1 with an awful lot of round town stop/ starting.

Couldn't be happier! :-)

That's good to hear another happy JJB Motors customer.

The Alfatune DPF removal really transforms the car.

Just had the same work carried out on my Brera at JJB. DPF removed, engine remapped and now I hardly recognise the car! So quick to go through the rev range, and so smooth to drive - its fantastic. Well worth the trip up from the midlands. (Glad i had the brake discs replaced too, i can stop now!)

That's good to know, thanks for the positive feedback regarding the work we carried out on your Brera for you.Appreciate your business and that you travelled from Birmingham to York for us to carry out the work on your car. Keep enjoying it and look forward to seeing you again in the future.
