Hi all, after spending the last 6 months without EGR and no remap, I decided to clean out the ehat exchanger and refit the system.
To my horror the heat exchanger was almost completely blocked! Took me several hours of soaking with oven cleaner and then ammonia and to clean inside and out!.. I rekon many of the EGR errors are caused by the EGR heat exchanger being just as blocked as the EGR Valve..
So far the refit seems to be working without any problems, with the ECU reset and errors codes removed, the car seems to pull quite well. Just waiting to see the ecomony and how that might change...
1.9 JTD M-Jet 16v 140ps.
Gas flowed head, Polished valves, Port matched manifolds, New Turbo.
JS-T primary Decat, MrZ full-bore Center Decat , Oil recirc tank, Big filter conversion.
