remap a remap

would there be a notable difference to having another remap now that I have had a decatted scorpion systems fitted since last JJB remap?

Hmmmm. looks like I have an urge to spend £££££££££...

Not much gains to be had from removing main cats IMO, which is why Wizard & I stopped selling the decats. Removing manifold cats on the otherhand, now that is noticeable.

I presume that a re-remap would be cheaper though as they don't have to go through the overhead of reading off your existing map and applying the changes, just a tweak on the 'puter and load it on (which is why if your remap gets wiped by the dealer it's normally free to re-apply it)

Don't remove the front cat's it muck's up the lambda readings and the fuelling you will lose power. Your best getting equal length front pipes and removing the secondary cat's as you have done already. Speak to Gus he makes the equal length front pipes. We can supply and fit them for you.

I have catless maniflods and gusses equal length downpipes ,gained 10 bhp no lamda problems ,when Adie remaps it even more power and better fuel consumtion and less emissions.Alfa fit cats in the manifolds and then run it very rich to keep the engine cool
so get those cats out

Two diametrically opposed views, which is correct?

I think Johnny meant on PANICs car because he already has secondary cats removed. If you remove all 4 cats the ECU will not be happy. Manifold cats out, secondary cats in, that is the way forward.

Well, from my experience, the catless manifolds as part of a system of upgrades are a compelling option given the bang for buck over other so called performance enhancements so I have to agree.

Garage
I'm with Dan on this one with the manifold mod. The car is hugely faster and the engine bay is noticably cooler

Fitting the CF2 manifolds does give around 10bhp. I mean't don't just gut the pre cats on your current setup as this mucks up the lambda readings, having the CF2 manifolds fitted and having the map tweaked to suit will give more power and torque. Fitting the CF2 manifolds is a big job.

Yes it is a big job,I did mine when I was doing the clutch so getting the rear manifold out was easy

fitting cf2 manifolds im sure you have to weld lambda bosses in there to facilitate existing lambdas correct?
