Giulietta boost guage

Hi all

I know the giullies have the onboard boost on the cluster display but this does not give you figures. In south Africa we dont have the option of satnav so the additional display on top of the dash is not available to us so I have come up with an idea for an onboard boost guage.

Now i know it wont be acurate as it will be turbo pressure and not manifold pressure but unfortunatly this is as close as im gonna get without drilling and tapping. So here is the idea.

1. boost guage

2. boost gauge location

ill mould it in with some fiber glass and will cover the whole panel in 3m carbon wrap or something. Have not decided yet.

3. Boost piping to be tapped into

I'll reply then
looks ok to me but i'd have nowhere for my tictac's
Don't think i'd be looking down there though when i'm on boost.

Just noticed on your before shot pic that the rubber gripper in the bottom of the hole is rotated 180deg. Mine was exactly the same.

im lookign for a decent nipple to put ontio the boostpipe right before the TB to get the best pressure reading.. im not going to take it from the vacume as the reading will be much higher at the turbo than at the TB. watch this space

Hey Hygrade can you elaborate on exactly whats connected to what and what alterations you made to connect that little box. Did you remove any pipes/wires from something else to conect to that little black box ?

Im curious I just might put one on for my G QV
