156 and Eibach & Bilstein

So!

Time to think about a suspension upgrade for my Alfa.
While I fancy a coilover kit, I hear its much to hard for the daily grind, which is a fair point, as the roads here are not mirror smooth.

The obvious choice, suggested by many is the Eibach and Bilstein combo.
But which of which ?

Eibach has a "prokit" and "sportline" kit. What is the difference between them ?
Likewise, Bilstein has B4, B6 and B8. What does this mean ?

(I know this has been asked many times before but there are just too many hits in the search results.. )

2003 156 GTA Selespeed - Alfa Rosso + black multispokes, Eibach anti rollbars, Quaife ATB diff, 330mm brakes, Bilstein B12, De-cat wrapped manifolds + EQ downpipes + Ragazzon silencer, CDA intake, (carefully) removed interior & Sparco bucket seats + 6 point harness
2002/6 156 JTS Selespeed - Full Ti interior, late model camshafts, Supersprint manifolds, Ragazzon silencer

I have the Eibach pro-kit in my 156, with Koni FSD dampers, upgraded anti-roll bars (18mm rear and 25mm front)....excellent combination, with very good body control and and much improved ride!
I believe that with the Eibach pro-kit the most adequate Bilsteins are the B8....

Bilstein B4 - Standard dampers
Bilstein B6 - Sportier dampers
Bilstein B8 - Same as Bilstein B6, but shortened in order to be used with lowered suspension...

The consensus recomendation for optimal ride+handling seems to be Eibachs + FSDs....

the eibach prokit lowers the car 30mm and the sportline 50mm.
the best combination would be bilstein B6 and eibach prokit.

I have uprated shocks and springs on my 156 V6 and am about to change to coilovers. They are not Eibach, made by Jamex I think. I'm looking for £80 for them (sorry to hi-jack!)
