Thumbs Up 1.9 QVD 16v with GTB2260

Some of you know that after upgrading my 147 from the old 8 valve unit I installed the 16v one and decided to go for a better turbo as well from the GT2256 to GTB2260

In order to make everything the way it should be done, we are making a completly new exhaust manifold and new exhaust system. Also we will be making another exhaust manifold for a diffrent turbo, so maybe we can start making manifolds upon request.

As the project is getting close to completion I will post more pictures and info, when time permits.

Hi,

looks very interesting, number very impresive! Have a 159 2.4 Q4 and I see that torque after remap is less than 2wd 159. Is it related with 4wd system or Q4 ecu has some features?

You have my phone number, call me and I will personally show you some of the dyno graphs of the cars we have made

Things on paper/video/pictures: the fastest Alfa Romeo at the (2011 alfisti track day) Serres Racind Circuit with a time of 1:36s is remaped by us...and I really prefer this method to show my work!!!

Here are some other times from Serres, so that you can compare:

Serres Racing Circuit lap records - FastestLaps.com

p.s: for the rest, the car in question is a GT 3.2 stock engine with just a remap.

Hi,

It is like that to keep the Q4 safe but it really depends on the car (as no two cars are the same) and what the owner wants...so figures (numbers) can be more or less.

but please lets keep this thread on the topic

ps: if you have any more question please send me a pm, I will be glad to help you.

I actually tested this 145 2.4 JTD before 2-3 weeks, and it is amazingly fast John! Actually this was the fastest JTD i had ever driven!!! The response of the car is unbelievably fast. The gas pedal reacts instantly, lag is soo minimal and the car respond extremely well. For drags this 145 is a real torpedo!!! As you said for track usage, there are too much creterias in order to make a good laptime!!! Guys this 145 is a daily use car, with air conditioner, leather seats, stereo etc.! I think for such car this time is good, especially with normal tyres and Bilstein B6 suspention!

Regards

Alfa Romeo 166 2.4 JTD (GTB2256V, Extreme remaped, 1.7bar boost, straight exhaust system, Brembo 4pod brake system 330mm brake discs); Alfa Romeo 145 QV (Colombo&Bariani 272 cams, Extreme remaped, JR cone intake, 240cc Saab turbo injectors, Supersprint 4-2-1 manifold + cat back system, O.S.R.A.V. Sport Kit suspension)
