Cold air intake

Evening guys - So I ordered a K&N 57i induction kit for my Alfa 147 2.0 the other day and am planning on fitting in a couple of days when it arrives. I'm just doing it for a bit more engine noise (and hopefully a tiny bit more power??).

Was speaking to a mate and they reckon for any decent increase in engine noise I should get another cold air intake pipe to fit on to the end of it as the resonance (not sure that's the right word!) of the air on the pipe is what adds to the noise? Is this the case and if so anyone know where to get a decent aftermarket intake pipe??

Cheers in advance!
