Wave Group buy on (Ultra Racing Chassis Tuning)

Hi guys,

I spoke to Ultra Racing earlier today. They seemed very friendly and genuine!
You can order from them piece by piece, or we group buy and get 10% discount? (sounds good to me)
They also told me that this has happened to the Toyota owners club.
This was the email sent to me..........

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your phone call earlier today.

As discussed, here are all the part details and current prices for all the Alfa Romeo Spider GTV parts that we do:

Front strut brace (TW2-1069) 79.06

Rear strut brace (RE2-1070) 62.11

Front lower brace (LA4-1071) 79.06

Mid lower brace (ML2-1072) 46.58

Rear lower brace (RL2-1073) 46.58

Rear lower brace (RL2-1074) 46.58

Rear anti-roll bar 20mm (AR20-272) 140.62

Prices above include VAT and the standard rate of 20%.

Delivery charges vary depending on how many items you are ordering (and which ones you’re ordering, as weights and dimension vary greatly), but they usually start from 15 for 1-2 items together. Deals can be done for large orders of 4-5 items going to the same address.

We do not keep these parts in stock, and currently we are hoping to order again in June/July, and if there is enough demand or a group buy organised through your forum then we might be able to get the parts here sooner than that. To get a group buy organised we would need at least 10 people to order with us, and then we would be able to offer everyone a 10% discount on the above prices too.

We are more than happy to organise taking the payments etc from everyone and we can manage everyone’s orders, but we would need you to put the info on your owners club website and get the 10 people minimum interested, and tell everyone to contact me. Usually we ask for 50% deposit payments from everyone and then the other 50% would be payable when the parts arrive into the UK.

If there’s any more info you would like from us, just let me know.

Kind regards,

Tina Fallon

It's all seems ok until you put your order in.

I ordered a rear lower bar for my 156 and he said it would be a 6 week wait, this i knew about so went ahead and ordered.

Four weeks later i just asked if everything was going to plan, just to see if it was on the boat making its way to me.

He just replied "do you want your deposit back?" that does not sound like its been ordered to me so i said i'd wait still, i do still want it but now i've been waiting over six weeks and no brace or an estimated time on when it will be here.

So all i can say is be careful, there is a thread about it on 145.com.

Just one thing about the rear anti roll bar - I guess, diameter of the standard part is already 19/20 mm ? And I cannot imagine the effects of the rear strut brace ?

But I think the lower parts could turn out to be really "helpful" :-)

Ordered on 31st March
Arrived 13th April

Group buys have to be organised with approved traders... Please read what E500 TAT has wrote above as an example of why we do this.

If anyone needs further information please mail me [email protected]

This is purely for members safety and security. No other reason. I've seen so many group buys go sour and it can leave a lot of people unhappy.

From E500 TAT just now.

I contacted the uk dealer for these, Home who are listed through the ultra racing website and asked were my order was.

They've just offered me my deposit back as it's not even been ordered, so i've waited 6 weeks for nothing. i was hoping this is not the same dealer as the others were going to use.

A warning to anyone.
