i have been lookin at getting a ragazzon exhaust system and was wondering if i should buy just a back box or the centre pipe too, does the centre pipe give most of the gains

Re: centre pipe or no centre pipe

presuming your 147 is a TS, the exhaust system will look like this (pic from ePer parts list):

so the centre pipe has a decent sized muffler straight after the cat, then a smaller resonantor near the rear muffler.

these are usually fairly 'high flow', but i've not seen them up close. can guarantee it'll be quite heavy though.

if you went with a true 'straight pipe' (no muffler at all), it will end up very loud, particularly with a new rear muffler too. will be interesting to hear from people that have actually done the mods.

i would personally get the version with a silencer/muffler.

you will have more gains with a high flow cat i think. and particularly a decat manifold straight off the engine. but these parts are usually more expensive, and labour to fit a manifold is expensive cos of lack of access to change it over.
