Mapping and Insurance

Since my insurance is due for renewal I happened to ask what would happen to my premium if I got my car mapped. Answer?

An increase from £272 to £615

Definately don't think I'll bother now.

Exactly they will never know unless they put it on a dyno .They are hardly gonna do that if you have a shunt Just write you a big fat check for a new alfa like they did me a couple of years ago .

It was like that when I bought the car hofficer.

Oh, the date stamp on the ECU? That was a minor adjustment after some turbo issues during the early days of owning the car, no more power came of it

It doesn't alter the date stamp ... also I think fraser had the car from new, so that might be a little iffy ...

I thought it did alter the date stamp, blokes at the garage read the date off the remap was done to me
