Ferodo

I bought some Ferodo DS Pads last week and they turned up today while I was at work, just had a closer look and it appears they have sent me a set called Ferodo DS3000 Pads.

Does anyone know what the DS3000s are like and should I keep them or send them back??

Cheers all

That's up to you to decide.

Re: Ferodo

Just wondered if you were referring to all pads - I have DS2500's on the front of mine - recommended

You also have a big, heavy V6 with almost double the power of Cunn's 147.

Re: Ferodo

You can use DS 3000 on the road as well. Very nice and response pads. A bit noisy and don't last very long, but overall - recomended.

Ferodo specifically say:

"WARNING: DS3000 IS NOT SUITABLE FOR NORMAL ON-ROAD USE."

I'd follow Ferodo's advice!

Re: Ferodo

Anybody elses DS2500s start to squeal on slow braking when they are warm?

Never had any noise from my DS2500 pads (in 305mm Brembo calipers).

Re: Ferodo

I get slight squeal at times - didn't Pascs get hold of some shims to stop it?

Mine did too, but I could put up with it for the added braking confidence. For the standard 147/156/GT there really is no better 'fast road' pad than DS2500s.

Not any more! DS 3000 Endurance and DS 1.11 is still "not suitable for road" but not DS 3000. I was using DS 3000 on road for very long time and they are the best which I ever used.

Yes and working well

They are fitted to a Qsystem V6 and there is practically no squeaking even when moving slowly forward in traffic with foot lightly on the brake.........and certainly worth a try for the £2 I paid for them

Re: Ferodo

My DS2500's don't squeak.

I'd recommend cleaning up the brake sliding pins with a bit of emery cloth and white grease after.. though my pins were so pitted and nasty that I bought new ones.
