Wheel Hub swap?

Does anyone know if any of the 5 stud Alfa hubs can be transplanted onto my 146?

I only want to do this so i can use a set of 16" wheels off a 156/166.

Might take you up on that, going to check sizes of bearings etc first.

Cheers Rob

Re: Wheel Hub swap?

Alfa 164 2.0 i.e TS front hubs are the same as Alfa 145/146 ones, so the hubs from any 5 stud 164 shoud fit. On the back try GTV hubs.

Re: Wheel Hub swap?

On front ABS ring is on CV joint so it is not a problem. The GTV back is worth a try as both are from the same period of time. But! I haven't check it by myself.

Good reasoning though, even if you do drive the car of choice for drug dealers

I used to be a service manager in BMW dealership and know very well what you are talking about. Average BMW owner >
But for me they are just a very well designed and made cars. I owned many BMW's and none of them broke down ever. I'm a BMW entusiast but I love italian cars as well. As far as I remember my father used to own italian cars. My favorite was Fiat 132 1800 GLS. That was a car!

You will be suprised: I'm using indicators more often than most of other drivers. I can imagine conversations in other cars: "Watch out! What he is going to do? He switched on the indicator!"

Might take you up on that, depending on how UKSPF gets on.

What wheels do you have? i'm looking for 16" Teledials if all works out well.

Re: Wheel Hub swap?

Yeah and if it dont work expect to see some 17" supersport 147 wheels, some brembo callipers, grooved discs all round for a GTV and a hub set for sale

Re: Wheel Hub swap?

Not yet, tried to match up the callipers on a bench and the mounts were out. Front bearing carrier is the same as a 145, Just this setback with the callipers.
