Remaping worth it ?

What kinda Bhp would you be getting from a remap ?
Are there any respected places around West Midlands?
Why have i lived here for over 19 years and never seen 1 alfa before

My goal is around 210- 220Bhp From a 2.5 V6.

Re: Remaping worth it ?

I'd imagine you could get 10-15bhp from a remap, but if you really want a difference, consider a GSR induction kit and possibly a stainless steel hi flow exhaust before remapping. Each item will get you more power/torque, but once exhaust and induction are done the remap itself will produce a higher gain than before.

Exhaust is a bit more work and money, maybe get induction kit, then remap.

Re: Remaping worth it ?

GSR is Peter's company, he posts on here as CPH and I would imagine he has already developed an induction kit for your V6 - may even have one in stock.

His intakes are not just generic air filters, he custom designs silicone air intake tubing for each model/engine type, then adds a suitable air filter. Actually gains power/torque rather than just noise.

I'd start with GTA inlet cam shafts, 3.0 intake runners, GTA air box intake or a performance filter, decat and noisey exhaust then go for a remap.

Wow that's a full list!! How much do you think you could get out of that engine with all that?

Re: Remaping worth it ?

Its an optimistic 192bhp to be starting from but realistically I'd imagine you'd see another 15bhp.
