Do you think it needs a main dealer to service it ?
Or could money be saved by booking it in at Halfords or maybe kwik-fit ?

It has a central driving position, like a McClaren F1 road car.

Kinda interested in what you have to do to a 24v 3.0 V6 to achieve 440 bhp

NOS? Supercharger running massive boost? Full rebuild with everything massively uprated so it does 10,000rpm?

Whichever, I think it would be mint fun

None of that stuff.
Just a properly tuned race engine in a very light car.

Re: Coloni S1 156 for Sale...

300 bhp is possible from a vauxhall 2 litre redtop and a ford duratec so like someone said just a really well thought out race engine would see 440 bhp

IMHO...

- shorten the stroke, so you can rev much more...
- lighter, stronger the crank
- lighter connecting rods
- lighter pistons..
- helluva strong con rod bolts, crank bolts, head bolts, etc...
- lightened crank
- crazy long duration cams prob'ly over 300 degrees
- bigger, lighter and stronger valves...
- bigger, stronger valve springs cos if increased RPM
- dry sump
- huge fuel pump...say 255lph i guess
- big injectors...
- huge throttle bodies..
- serious engine management...
- balanced, bluprinted, motor, flywheel, etc..
- prob'ly copper clutch
- metal head gasket

Basically what i can think off first hand...
