159 dpf removal.... anyone successful yet?

anyone got around the dpf software yet to allow removal?

mines not causing any probs but wondering how much more power / quicker spool up you could get... DPF good idea but really strangles the poor thing

DPF can be removed on the JTDm.

We will be working on mine 159 or a friends Brera during the summer to see where we can end up in terms of power.

but first I want to finish the work on my 147.

This looks worth pursuing - would be interesting to see if it helped the 2.4 fuel consumption issues.

Might sound a stupid question, but is the dpf purely a problem in 159's or does it affect 156's too?

cheers,

Mark

Cheers for that Alfa-Red. I've always struggled to understand the physical differences in engines on the 156 20v and the 159's JTD's. I thought it was just 159's had a FMIC as standard and higher fuel pressure.

Cheers,

Mark

AlfaTune Motorsport (on 01744 25499) and AHM (on 01252 845717) have dpf delete software available, AHM have a customers car there at the moment with dpf delete done, they can give you all the juicy details

How would this affect an MOT. Is there any test for the DPF?
