Supersprint Exhausts

Enquiries with UK retailers suggest that the importer is no longer trading and that Supersprint exhausts are currently unavailable.

Anyone know of a supplier who can fulfil an order, either in the UK or on mainland Europe?

Cheers.

Re: Supersprint Exhausts

I have just placed an order with Gazzella Racing, who are now importing Supersprint exhausts direct from the factory in Italy.

I have been advised by other UK retailers that Supersprint products are currently unavailable via Eurostyling.

Cheers,

Pat

Whatever you all do - make sure you buy it with a credit card and not a debit card!

Can I ask why?

I'm considering a Supersprint back box for the 156.

Re: Supersprint Exhausts

a credit card will give you some buyer protection.

If the goods never arrive you can get your money back, up to some amount I think.

With a debit card it is like cash.

Re: Supersprint Exhausts

Sorry, but you can do a charge back with debit cards as well. Go to the bank that issued the card, tell them you want to do a charge back from your card/account and that's all. They are obligated to recover all the funds you requested.
VISA and MasterCard have very strong chargeback policies due to high fraud.

I worked in a bank precisely at credit/debit card department, so I pretty much know how it works. Granted, thinks might be different in UK, but I doubt they have different policies.

Re: Supersprint Exhausts

Why not order from shop.alfisti.net ? Or email SS directly ? They are more than willing to sell directly to the end-user. One of my friends bought an SS manifold directly from them.

Re: Supersprint Exhausts

I did email them directly. They didn't seem willing to sell me anything for some reason they said to go to the distributor.

I have spoken to Gazzella and have been told that they now have an account direct with Supersprint.

So I have ordered a back box for my GTV.

Gazzella didn't have one in stock, so they are waiting for a delivery from Italy.

I ordered it about a week ago and spoke to Gazzella yesterday afternoon. I am told to expect it to arrive on my doorstep by the middle of next week.

I will let you know when it arrives.

The price seemed pretty comparable to those advertised by other suppliers who are currently out of the loop and unable to supply.

It seems that Supersprint are still looking for another main UK distributor for their full range.

Yes, quite a lot cheaper than the local distributor, about 200 Euros cheaper, with shipping included.

It took me two months to get my back box from Gazella but to be fair it aint there fault really. I can't get SS for my anymore only a hideous back box yoke which I would rather burn that fit on my car.

My Supersprint back box and straight through centre pipe was delivered yesterday.

So that was about three weeks, which I don't think is too bad.

I'll stuff it on the car this weekend and report back.

Re: Supersprint Exhausts

Goot man you'll love the sound of it. One of the lads here has one on his GTV

I think it was Ragazzon that held up the hole thing I think.

Re: Supersprint Exhausts

Job done.

Reasonably straightforward.

I have used a Ragazzon straight through centre pipe and a Supersprint back box.

There didn't seem much to choose between the two in terms of quality of manufacture or ease of fitting.

The main surprise was the state of the original Alfa exhaust. It was a horrible rusty old mess, even though it has only done 28,000 miles.

The car is really pretty loud, particularly at tick over and low revs. It is a bit boomy at 1500-2000rpm at slow speeds, but doesn't seem to get much louder at higher revolutions.

Most of the noise is left behind you and cabin noise seems pretty bearable. It is only a little noisier than standard in the cabin at motorway speeds. Wind the window down and you can hear all hell breaking loose behind you.

The noise is fairly deep and mellow, rising to a fantastic howl when you wind it up.

It sounds great and there were no real snags with fitting it. There isn't much clearance around the back box, but it doesn't foul anything and the centre pipe is tucked up nicely out of the way.

Here's what came off.

Here's what went on.

Here's what the tip looks like.

Re: Supersprint Exhausts

I love supersprint.

I have exactly the same setup on my 147, SS ragazzon and suspersprint backbox.

Pat I have a spare alloy for your car in brand new condition if you are interested.

I can't say that I'm too struck on the wheels.

If I tripped up over a set of Zender Milanos then I would probably change them.

Incidentally, what is the best induction modification for the 3.2? Not too loud, but less restrictive than the standard set up.
