Filling the arches - 156

ok, so the wheels i have - team dynamics pro race 1.2 7.5jx17 dont fill out my arches, and with spacers on its not handling too great, plus one side seems to be catching the tyre on the arch lip when going over bumps.

what can i do to fill out the arches a little? different size wheels? dont really want to go up to 18"...what are the options?

Re: Filling the arches - 156

I thought the circumference of the tyre stayed the same when changing to bigger wheels?

Try pricing for a lowering kit

Re: Filling the arches - 156

Offset on a 17" should be et35, but that's only 2mm difference, 225/45r17 will give a better impression of filling the arches.

if its catching the arch lip, then surely its filled the arches as far as offset goes?

225 will look better. 225/45/17.

Re: Filling the arches - 156

the wheels fill the arches quite well, as shown here 156

but this is with the 20mm spacers on front and rear.

for whatever reason, only the drivers side rear tyre is catching on the arch when i go over bumps. seems to have more travel?

Re: Filling the arches - 156

having seen the pics, I'd say they stick out too far, a little too aftermarket.
I'm not sue the black alloys help much either.

I have 17's (gen alfa, 3 sets) on my 156, on koi sports too.
The wheels don't look huge at all, just look about right.
All sets are silver.
not put the Ti alloys on yet but the 17" multispokes (147 gta type) look fine, the 17" 147 selespeed alloys, although no bigger actually appear bigger visually on the car, different design, more silvermetal on show?
I imigine the 17" Ti alloys will visually appear the smallest of the lot, perhaps because they have less alloy to see?
(my XJR has only 17" alloys, but they look huge on the car, again there is loads of silver alloy on show, its the 94-97 xjr)

Personally I think if your wheels were silver they would stand out more, thats just my opinion and personally taste though, non-the-less, your cars looks good anyway.
