40mm lowering OK? - Koni sports kit

Hey. Im considering buying the koni alfa sports kit.
It lowers 40mm's which sounds good to me. I removed the tray a long while back, and haven't had any problems with ground clearance, as I live in Auckland New Zealand. The roads are fairly good here.

Does anyone know what the actual limit of lowering a 156 2.5 is?

Re: 40mm lowering OK? - Koni sports kit

I removed siezed coilovers the previous owner fitted, and fitted Eibach Pro springs and Koni FSDs. The Eibachs are rated as a 30mm drop, but fitting them to my car raised it 35mm, so I reckon my coilovers had lowered my car at the front by approx 65mm. And my car was pretty much as low as you could go, or at least want to, in some situations the wheel would scrape the top of the wheel arch on full lock.

Re: 40mm lowering OK? - Koni sports kit

I have the koni sport, on a veloce it lowers about 25mm as the veloce is lower than lusso etc.

handles like its on rails, I also have a 147Ti, which is fun, but the koni break point is leagues above the stock suspension.

A little hardcore, but for serious driving ( and I mean beyond 'spirited a must.
