Cheers,
Nice SR. Have to say I prefer this 18" version, which I've just bought from ES Jones. These are the very same wheels by Toora, and they look very nice. Alloys are so subjective 'though.

ES Jones did them for £550 + VAT, then as Swanny had suggested, I ordered the tyres from BlackCircles.Com. I went for the GY Assymetrics which have since gone up in price. Came to £417.13, delivered to ES Jones who charged me £8 a tyre for fitting.

Works out cheaper to order from Italy, I think, as I'm sure someone on here has done ... delivered on a pallet, reportedly.

ES Jones did a grand job, so I ordered a 330mm brake upgrade from them.

Re: 18" GT Alloys + tyres

The ones Oggy posted look nicer but for £400 ish you can't really go wrong including tyres. Obviously they are going to be ditchfinders though, at that price..

Yeah the tyres will be budget at that price, SR, afterall the "upgrade" Falkens are budget brand. I'd say even with special offers, you need £100 a corner.

I've got these on my GT. I know is all just a matter of opinion but I think multi spokes look better than the teledials.

You should buy what YOU like and what you think looks good!

I'm going to have my GT lowered after Xmas so they should look even better, fill the wheel arch a bit more.

Happy buying. Happy Christmas!

For info...I bought a set of Neuton 235/40/18's 95XL for my 159 recently. Have now covered 12,000 miles and have performed well. Good grip in dry/wet conditions. Good looking tread and wall with excellent rim protector. No inner tyre wear as yet either. Only cost £235.00 set.

The guys at parts are spot on, I bought some 17" multi's from there last year. Shame about the service department.

Looking good oggy.

While we're on the subject of wheels...what do people reckon the Compomotive MO would look like a 147/156GTA?

Work quite well on an SZ...

Love those Toora wheels on the GT.

tyre-wise I've found mytyres a fair bit cheaper than blackcircles.

Thats a tough one that Matty, and as always its hard to call without seeing images. Certainly seems to work well on the SZ, therefore i'd be inclined to say they'd work well on a GTA and add a hard edged motorsport flavour to cars look.

Hmm, not been my experience. I paid about £104 per tyre at Blackcircles. Comparing current prices, the Goodyear Asymetric is still £6 cheaper there. Don't forget there's also the chance of an AO discount @ Blackcircles, 'though I couldn't use it for the "special offer" they had at the time.

See what you mean - I hadn't bought any for 2 years, BC's prices look much better now, but seems to depend on which brand/model you want as to which is cheaper. How much is the AO discount ?

You have to be a paid-up club member, then it's 5% discount. Quite a few others discounts available too!
