Re: Change to HID xenon or not?
You will never get a perfect beam pattern but yes, it will be a lot brighter.
The OEM GTA Xenon headlights use projectors and a cut off mask to produce that razor sharp beam/cutoff.
Having said that, I bought a set of OEM GTA Halogen headlights (reflector) and fitted a Plug n Play kt with the all important H7r lamps. These, apart from being slightly shorter so they fit behind the metal caps in the headlight, also do two other things.
1) because they are that bit shorter, the point at which the light is emitted is almost exactly the same place so will help to improve the beam.
2) The H7r lamps have a metal mask painted onto them to lessen unwanted glare.
The above is even more improved on my headlights as they re-designed the reflectors slightly on the GTA Halogen ones and they are obviously far shinier than the old ones I used to have.
Before you spend £109 (HIDs4U are the best out there) try a set of Osram Nightbreakers for that extra boost.
eBay seller, Powerbulbs, were selling at half the cost of their std website price.
