Front Bumper/Spoiler Options...

right, after my arrangement to buy a Cadamuro front spoiler seemingly going down the drain , im after something for the front of my car.

MS design... MS Frontspoiler

Cadamuro...Cadamuro Frontspoiler

Cadamuro facelift style...Cadamuro Frontschürze

Novitec...Novitec Frontspoiler

Lester (?)...Frontspoiler

GTS...Frontspoilerstoßstange GTS

GTA style...Alfa 156 Front Bumper - GTA

GTA AM style...Alfa 156 Front Bumper - Lightning

Carcept/Carcept style...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALFA-ROMEO-156...ayphotohosting

im leaving out the likes of the F2 bumper, the "evo" one and the other crap one, i am liking the "lightning" one, seems similar to autodelta's GTA AM version. might have to be that or the Carcept style one....

opinions please? i have standard Veloce sideskirts(fitted), i have the Zender boot lip spoiler, and a pair of rear corner splitters to go on, so really would need something at the front.

Re: Front Bumper/Spoiler Options...

It depends on what you do with the rest of the car. If your 156 looks sporty but you don't have further wild plans I'd stick with the Novitec or maybe the Lightning one. My point is that front spoilers like the Cadamuro ones are pretty impressive and very typically designed on their own. For the best visual balance you need the rest of the car to be pretty much the same style. Just like you maybe better don't (or at least, I wouln't dare...) put a cupwing on a stock 156 with 16" wheelcovers. Hope you understand what I'm trying to point out.

Back to the front spoiler, if your car can take it, I'd prefer the GTA AM "Lightning" one. That last one makes the 156 appear really wide.

Re: Front Bumper/Spoiler Options...

hmmm...im considering the GTA AM Lightnign jobbie, but if i change that, i would want to change the whole rear bumper too, probably for a GTA one.

Re: Front Bumper/Spoiler Options...

damn, i like the look of the ICC tuning one, Body-kit.co.uk | Alfa Romeo | 156 | Body Kits | Alfa 156 98-03 ICC Front Bumper - GRP but i would need sideskirts/arches for that kit too, otherwise it would look daft.

another option is the Lester GTA-look bumper, but i would want to know how to fit foglights to it. Body-kit.co.uk | Alfa Romeo | 156 | Body Kits | Alfa 156 98-03 Lester GTA Look Front Bumper - GRP

Re: Front Bumper/Spoiler Options...

i dont mind that, but i cant help feeling that the front should have a straight drop from the sides, instead of curving in towards the bottom...

Re: Front Bumper/Spoiler Options...

said it was gta style, not gta replica replica is better though.

alfa sprint, no, definitely not like that. have a look at the ICC one further up the thread, see where it goes straight down at the sides, looking from the front, instead of curving in? thats what i mean.

That sounds just like a GTA replica bumper?

no, it was exactly the same as the ICC, but foglights were fitted, looked as if there were moulds for them to be fitted in, not added after.

cheers, has the GTA and Zender kits, not keen on the zender as it would need the sideskirts and rear to match.

Re: Front Bumper/Spoiler Options...

you are right, but i think what im trying to say is the bumper needs to be vertical at the sides, take a look at the attached pic. this is the cheap carcept splitter. i think it would look awesome, if it was filled in the area between the bumper and the red line up to the top of the bumper where it meets the arch, following the curve around the foglight area, or filled between bumper and red line up to the dotted line, and again round the fog area.

Re: Front Bumper/Spoiler Options...

strangely enough, marius has PM'ed me offering me discount on the GTA kit...unfortunately, im not too keen on that one..and the ICC tuning one is going to need the sides and arches, and the skirts are horrible.

when you say, "do me a kit", you mean a custom?

mariusz, you mean the quailty is good?

when i said cheap, i meant low-cost, not necessarily poor.
