Different V6 intake plenum shape, anyone?????

I'm on my way to fit Porsche Cayene big TB on my trackday toy, and want to play a little with intake plenum volume and shape.
Did someone have any success with such a mod - a little bit larger, different TB orientation, shape......????
Being RWD i have no space restrictions and can place throttle wherever i want, can make different shapes as well.....
I know that rarely tuners(no matter how reputable they are) can make it better than OE but why not trying......
By far i'm using pictured plenum below(slight increase in volume because i need high rev power) with good results(OE throttle body), car was RR'd, remapped and i'm pretty happy......
But have spare plenums, can weld alloy, why not try something different.....ideas????

Yeah, i plan to make similar design like these plenums, just still like the idea that its better for the induction if air goes from TB to runners making less turns......
